Zodiac Labs, a Kansas-based PC building company, has given the OU Gaming Club a brand-new gaming computer. This computer, the Zodiac Labs Eclipse, now powers the Twisted Tech iRacing rig that stands proudly in the Cross B Gaming Lounge.
Josh Watson and Sam Graziano, the production leadership for OU Esports and Co-Curricular Innovation, released a video review for the Eclipse, which came equipped with the following specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
- 32GB DDR5 RAM
- ASUS TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 5070
- 1TB WD Black SSD
- 850 Watt XPG Core Reactor II Power Supply
“We put (the Eclipse) through its tests, and we ran quite a few games through this thing,” Graziano said regarding the PC’s power.

Watson and Graziano tested the Eclipse in scenarios suited to esports gaming, casual gaming, and student use. They found that the PC was more than equipped to handle all the scenarios.
Watson tested the PC on Valorantand FragPunk, and both games ran smoothly with no FPS drops or stuttering. The gameplay was buttery smooth and attests to the PC’s sheer performance.
The Eclipse was tested on Hades IIand Crab Champions, two games with lower graphical demand. These games ran as well as the esports titles, much to Watson’s delight.
Watson also showcased gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty on his gaming news podcast, the OFFSZN. Watson and Graziano cranked Cyberpunkto its max graphics settings with ray tracing and experienced no stuttering or lag, proving the power of Zodiac Labs’s monster PC.
On top of gaming use, the Eclipse has more than enough potential to work for a college student’s needs. Google Docs and Adobe Premiere Pro ran easily, with Premiere rendering and exporting large files easily.

“Some of us in the Professional Writing space like to use different simulation software such as 3D modeling in the fantasy or sci-fi realm to help bring our stories to life,” said Parker Vint, an OU Professional Writing senior. “That’s one reason I would want to have a Zodiac PC on my desk.”

Thanks to Zodiac Labs, the Eclipse has become a mainstay for the OU Gaming Lounge as one of its featured computers.
